Let’s talk about the Product Range here at Ginger Chicken Design. I started this business to get back into painting, I got sidetracked by my interest in architectural illustration. Therefore if you look at my website you’ll see I have a number of drawings of buildings. However doing these illustrations does not make me want to wake up at 5am in the morning and draw. Once I realised creating abstract canvases DID make me want to run to my studio at 5am and grab a paint brush I changed my business plan slightly!! I now come home from a busy day at work and happily pick up a palette knife ready to get painty 😄☀️

For today’s #MarchMeetTheMaker the prompt is Mistake/Lesson. This set of three pictures shows my experimentation with cheap artist’s board and poor quality acrylic that I bought from Amazon. The lesson here is, buy good quality materials! In case you haven’t spotted it, the board I used to paint on bent as the paint dried and the terrible quality white paint cracked all along the sea shore. This was right at the start of my Ginger Chicken journey back in August 2020, I have only purchased @winsorandnewton products since! Lesson learned ✔️
